Manifesting: The Power of Belief
Manifesting – the art of bringing your desires into reality. It has become a buzzword for those looking to take control of their lives. Skeptics see it as wishful thinking, but believers understand that it’s a powerful mindset shift rooted in focus, faith, and action. Manifesting isn’t just about imagining success, it’s about aligning your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to attract the future you desire. Today, I’ll share my personal journey from struggle to success using manifestation, how it transformed my life, and the practical steps you can take to harness this incredible force.
What Exactly Is Manifesting?
Manifesting isn’t magic, though it can feel magical when things start to fall into place. At its core, manifesting is the practice of visualizing what you want, believing you can have it, and then acting toward it with unwavering trust. It’s about tuning your mind to your goals so that you notice opportunities and take inspired action. Many people think manifesting is simply repeating affirmations or imagining checks in the mail. However, true manifestation combines a clear intention, emotional alignment, and consistent effort.
The truth is, manifestation isn’t just a practice—it’s a lifestyle. When done right, it becomes a daily habit of thinking, believing, and behaving as if your dreams are already unfolding.
My Journey from Chaos to Clarity
There was a time in my life when I felt lost and powerless. I was stuck in a job that didn’t fulfill me, drowning in debt, and felt like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t catch a break. Having dreams of starting a business—one where I could make a difference and live on my own terms—but they felt too big, too far away, and out of reach. I wanted change, but I didn’t know how to make it happen.
Then, I stumbled across the concept of manifesting when my accountability group of gals and I watched the movie “The Secret”. At first, I rolled my eyes at the idea—how could imagining something make it real? But the more I read, the more I understood that manifesting wasn’t about daydreaming. It was about taking charge of my mindset, shifting my beliefs, and recognizing my worth. Something inside me clicked. I realized that if I could change my thoughts and then put action towards those thoughts, I could change my life.
Step One: Setting Clear Intentions
The first step in my manifesting journey was to get crystal clear on what I wanted. At first, I only had vague wishes: “I want to be successful,” or “I want more money.” But vague intentions create vague outcomes. The key to manifesting is clarity. I had to be specific about what success looks like for me.
So, I wrote down my goals: I wanted to become a Realtor, and eventually purchase rental properties to passively pay off my debts, and build a life filled with freedom and fulfillment. The more detailed I got, the more real these dreams began to feel. I started journaling every day, writing as if I had already achieved those goals. For example, I would write, “I run a successful real estate business helping others achieve their goals of being a homeowner.”
Step Two: Visualizing the Dream Life
Visualization became a powerful tool in my manifesting process. Every morning, I set aside 10 minutes to sit quietly, close my eyes, and imagine myself living the life I wanted. I pictured waking up excited to work with my clients, feeling financially secure, and making my own schedule. I imagined how it would feel, what I would wear, and the joy that would fill my days.
At first, it felt silly. But over time, the visualization practice became the highlight of my mornings. It wasn’t just about seeing the dream—it was about feeling it, as if it had already happened. The emotions I cultivated during those sessions—joy, gratitude, confidence—began to stick with me throughout the day.
Step Three: Aligning Thoughts and Beliefs
One of the biggest lessons I learned was that manifesting requires aligning your thoughts and beliefs with what you want. I had to stop doubting myself. Whenever a negative thought like “You’re not good enough” or “You’ll never make this work” popped up, I replaced it with positive affirmations. I would tell myself, “I am worthy of success,” or “Everything is working out in my favor.”
It was hard at first. Years of self-doubt don’t disappear overnight. But with practice, I started believing I could do this. I also began surrounding myself with positive influences—books, podcasts, and people who inspired me. Slowly but surely, my mindset began to shift, and I started seeing opportunities instead of obstacles.
Step Four: Taking Inspired Action
Manifesting isn’t just about thinking good thoughts—it’s about acting on them. Once clear on my goals and aligned my beliefs, I needed to take action. This part is often overlooked, but it’s crucial. Dreams don’t manifest without consistent effort.
I started small. Taking small steps of action like looking into what it was required to take the Real Estate courses and meeting with my Realtor to ask questions. At first, things moved slowly. I faced setbacks and moments of doubt, but I reminded myself that every small step brought me closer to my goal. I kept showing up, even when it felt hard, because I believed I had already claimed success—it was just a matter of time.
The Manifesting Breakthrough Moment
I’ll never forget the moment my efforts began to pay off. After signing up for the course and months of hard work studying in all my spare moments outside of my kids and full time job, I passed my exam, got my license and became a buyers agent under my mentor. It was a turning point. That first client gave me the confidence to keep going. Soon, more clients followed, and before I knew it, my business was thriving.
But the best part wasn’t just the financial success—it was the freedom and fulfillment I felt. I had manifested a life I once thought was impossible. Looking back, I realize that the key to manifesting wasn’t just visualizing or repeating affirmations—it was believing in myself and taking consistent, inspired action.
How You Can Start Manifesting Today
If you’re ready to manifest your dreams, here are a few steps to help you get started:
1. Get Clear on Your Goals
Write down exactly what you want, and be as specific as possible. Instead of saying, “I want more money,” say, “I want to earn $10,000 a month doing work I love.”
2. Visualize Your Success Daily
Set aside a few minutes each day to visualize yourself living your dream life. Feel the emotions as if you’ve already achieved your goals.
3. Shift Your Beliefs
Notice any negative thoughts or limiting beliefs that come up, and replace them with positive affirmations. The goal is to train your mind to believe in your success.
4. Take Inspired Action
Dreams don’t come true by accident. You need to act toward your goals every day, even if the steps feel small. Trust the process and keep moving forward.
Manifesting Isn’t Magic, But It Feels Magical
Looking back on my journey, I’m amazed at how much has changed since I started manifesting. What once felt impossible is now my reality, and I know that if I can do it, you can too. Manifesting isn’t about waiting for miracles—it’s about believing in your potential and creating a plan to bring your dreams to life.
If you’re willing to set clear intentions, align your thoughts, and take action, you can manifest anything you desire. It may not happen overnight, but with patience and persistence, the universe has a way of meeting you halfway. Keep the faith, keep moving forward, and trust that your dream life is within reach.
Manifesting for me is not just a practice; it’s a way of life. Today I am manifesting a whole new life of being an inspirational content creator and accountability coach as well as building my dream home to live out the rest of my years at the lake where I love being the most.
So question for you… what will you manifest today?
